For proper calibration, several parameters must be measured, including the force applied by the measuring tip throughout its travel and the exact shape of the tip. It must be verified that the calibration values fall within the standards (ISO 868 and DIN 53505 for Europe, ASTM D 2240 for the USA).<\/p><p>Baxlo delivers each durometer with a full certificate and can carry out recalibration quickly and cost-effectively. Reference calibration (using rubber samples of known and certified hardness) may be sufficient for some applications where high precision is not required.
